An opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical System Engineer to prove their capabilities in a dynamic environment with Bristol Cars.
We are looking for a self-motivated individual with proven organisational skills, who is adaptive, sincere and good team player. Our successful applicant will manage the engineering and development of mechanical systems within the vehicle.
Key Responsibilities:

⨁   Define and formalise specifications of mechanical systems with clear understanding of technological and commercial aspects.

⨁   Translate specification requirements of the vehicle into sub-assembly/component specifications for clear understanding by suppliers.

⨁   In collaboration with the team and suppliers, define test requirements to confirm the product meets specifications and ensure engineering validation of prototype.

⨁   Create and manage documents such as the Development plan, Validation plan, BOM, Engineering change records

⨁   Manage CAD/CAE and the interfacing of mechanical systems with other systems.

⨁   Check and approve supplier’s drawings, technical documents, CAD-data, and compliance charts.

⨁   Monitoring of suppliers in the scope of technical development

⨁   Liaise with suppliers, collaborators and the cross-functional team to ensure smooth implementation of the project.


 Candidate Profile:

⨁   Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/ Mechatronics/ Automotive Engineering (MEng preferred).

⨁   Relevant experience in technical project management of automotive systems (at least five years).

⨁   CAD fluency, preferably with proficiency in Solid-works.

⨁   Experience in schematic lay-outs of automotive systems.

⨁   Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

⨁   Pro-active and result oriented.

⨁   Fluent in spoken and written English.

⨁   Possess a valid full driving license and passport

We are searching for a principal Buyer for Bristol Cars.
Our successful applicant will manage the responsibility of all automotive purchasing; logistical supply considerations; and be involved with negotiations with suppliers and partners.

This position may require domestic and/or international travel.
Key Responsibilities:
⨁   Work directly with Bristol Cars supplier base managing procurement for vehicle production & non-vehicle production requirements.

⨁   Identify strategic cost and commodity opportunities.

⨁   Sourcing suppliers and maintaining strong relationships with control on quality.

⨁   Provide a comprehensive service to all functions in Bristol Cars for the interpretation and/or clarification of automotive procurement requirements.

⨁   Monitor developments in product-related pricing and inventory control structures with reports to appropriate personnel.

⨁   Develop an internally integrated Supply Chain Management Document (SCMD).

 Candidate Profile:
⨁   Excellent verbal and written communication skills across all cross functional areas of Bristol Cars and the Frazer-Nash Group of Companies.

⨁   Ability to project manage, organise and optimise commercial budgets and be adept at handling with confidence negotiations between Bristol Cars and its supplier partnerships.

⨁   Ability to build a rapport and develop productive and lasting relationships with suppliers.

⨁   Experience of working in an area of purchasing and or logistics for any sector would be considered beneficial.

⨁   Knowledge of motor industry components and supply chains is advantageous, such as cost analysis (investment & unit cost estimation), planning, purchasing processes, service identification or a similar type of role.

⨁   Ability to support component Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP).

⨁   Ability to manage Request for Quote (RFQ), Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) documentation for preparation and distribution.

⨁   Required to be computer literate with above average understanding of office applications.

⨁   Possess a methodical approach to areas of responsible activities and be able to present accurate and timely role function analysis.

⨁   Ability to track progress with a high level of administrative skills are expected.

⨁   Possess a valid full driving licence and passport.
